Trading: maximizing the value of our own and our customers’ assets

Every day, our traders deal in oil and gas markets. Their mission is to maximize the value of our production, supply our refineries under the best market conditions and import and export products to match supply to demand in local markets. In addition, they are tasked with managing risks, in particular to limit our exposure to sometimes extreme price fluctuations. Thanks to our expertise and experience in oil markets, we have developed monitoring and decision-support tools at the cutting-edge of trading. Our teams enjoy a global view of real-time flows and segment information, around the clock. As a result, we can respond to developments with the agility needed to maximize the value of our own assets and those of our customers.

Our onshore infrastructure

We have access to advanced infrastructure for transporting hydrocarbons across land through interests in some 30 gas pipelines worldwide. This enables us to efficiently deliver our gas and oil from fields to storage centers and major consumer hubs.

Leveraging a leading maritime transportation network

we chartered nearly 2,700 vessels to transport 120 million metric tons of crude oil and petroleum products. We maintain a permanent fleet of nearly 47 time-chartered vessels. We apply one of the most rigorous selection standards in the oil industry for every ship we use, especially those in our fleet.

Shipping: transporting oil and gas

We organize the transportation of oil and gas from production areas to major consumer hubs. We select and charter the safest vessels to ensure that cargo is shipped in the most timely, cost-effective way and, naturally, under optimal safety conditions.

REFINING

Our refineries operate in logistically-complex markets, processing crude oil into refined products to serve our local communities. We have an operating refining capacity of thousands of barrels per day with a distillate orientation across our locations. we primarily focus on producing jet fuel for tourism and low sulfur fuel oil to supply the local utilities, as well as ground transportation for our retail operations and other third parties. Our refinery is unique in that we are the only local asphalt producer in the growing Pacific. we cater to gasoline and distillate demand in the Rockies market.

Logistics

Our unique logistics assets give us a competitive edge in our local markets. Barges in both locations allow refined product and crude movements between our facilities. We also own truck racks in each region and rail facilities on the mainland, which provide us flexibility for our transportation needs. In addition, our recently completed Next Gen renewable fuels logistics project in BPR enables unit-train transportation and storage of renewable products and internalizes our ethanol movements. We own and operate 549 miles of pipeline and 13 million barrels of storage across our regions. Three of our refineries are connected to a military base through pipelines.

Growth

Batken Oil has grown into a Fortune company. Beginning in 2013 with the acquisition of a refinery in other cities, we began building an integrated energy network in the Batken Oil. Through advantageous acquisitions and other growth opportunities, we have become the market leader in , where we are better known. Our refineries, retail locations and logistic system supply all of the major regions.
